Destination Bjerkreim

Bjerkreim offers magnificent nature and unforgettable hiking experiences - and so much more than you expect! Here are some highlights you will not want to miss: Vinjakula which is the highest peak in Magma Geopark, Northern Europe's largest scree Gloppedalsura, Bjerkreimselva - one of the best salmon rivers in Norway and winter paradise Stavtjørn.         Magma UNESCO Global Geopark

        The Dutch Quarter in Flekkefjord is the charming area where traditional meets modern. The old part of the city is known for its wooden, white, historical houses and narrow cobblestone streets. As a beautiful contrast, more than 30 pieces of street art are spread around the city and most of them are seen in the historical Dutch Quarter.

        Hidra

        Magma UNESCO Global Geopark

        In order to get to the gorgeous island Hidra, you need to go on a 10-minute ferry ride. The ferry pier is located close to Flekkefjord. Hidra has about 600 inhabitants and is a popular place to visit for both Norwegians and international visitors. Check out the charming outposts, go bathing, or fishing amid idyllic islets and reefs.

      Visit Sokndal

      A tiny place with great experiences! You are welcome to coastal culture, listed wooden houses, salmon rivers, inland waters, sea, marked hiking trails in majestic nature. Get fascinated by dramatic nature with steep mountains in Jøssingfjord, or simply relax and enjoy the good life in Sogndalstrand.         Lund

        Lund is known for majestic nature in all three villages; Moi, Heskjestad and Hovsherad. All the villages have good starting points for outstanding hikes with diverse cultural monuments. Sætra is a paradise for winter activities, with both toboggan run, light trail and groomed ski trails to Gauksomhytta and Sandstøl. A guided tour to old mining sites at Gursli and Liland will leave you impressed. How about a trip up Tronåsen? - spectacular! Lund folk museum and cultural bank attracts visitors with its famous tasting of apple varieties. Lundevannet has a leisure boat center, several piers and bathing places, there are also opportunities for renting kayaks, canoes and other equipment.
