Mjåvassknuten is not just an adventurous summit tour, it is also a journey through industry and ancient local culture. A large mining activity took place here, where both tungsten and molybdenum ores were extracted. There are still traces of this to this day. A wonderful, however, demanding trip.

Reinarknuten towers 787 metres above sea level on the south side of the lower Tysdalsvatnet lake in Ryfylke. From the Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke (Rv 13) alongside Tysdalsvatnet lake you have a great view of this majestic mountain.
